Amongst the many tools (https://safetyrisk.net/what-does-spor-do/ ) developed in the Social Psychology of Risk (SPoR) is the use of Engagement Boards. I discussed these four years ago on this site (https://safetyrisk.net/safety-engagement/). The Engagement Board strategy is based on the notion of tackling risk in Workspace, Headspace and Groupspace (WS,HS,GS). This tool helps organisations uncover risks that are normally not considered in orthodox risk assessments.

Engagement Boards are discussed fully in the Social Psychology of Risk Handbook, i-thou (pp.54ff and 123ff), and help organisations tackle risk semiotically and extensively reduce paper-based risk assessments. We also use Engagement Boards in incident investigations as part of the SEEK Program (https://cllr.com.au/product/seek-the-social-psyvhology-of-event-investigations-unit-2/ ).

Recently one of my clients (Mondi Group) has rolled out the use of Engagement Boards globally (125 countries sites and 35 countries) and as a part of that work the group Head of Safety and Health Brian Darlington, on his third study tour with the Centre for Leadership and Learning in Risk (https://cllr.com.au/) in Canberra decided to interview me seeking an endorsement of what they are doing. I thought some of you may be interested in this and so I offer to share the video with you: https://vimeo.com/390609359

Brian has completed his Masters in SPoR (12 Modules) and from that foundation is progressing through a full roll out of SPoR strategies across the group. If you would like to know more about how SPoR can improve the way organisations can tackle risk and reduce paperwork contact: rob@cllr.com.au
