New Safety Award to Honour the late George Robotham
Regular readers of this blog would know what a prolific writer and excellent communicator the late George Robotham was. We were flooded by hundreds of condolence messages from people he has helped, both personally and via his writing, during his career. George will be remembered as one of the few true Safety Professionals.
In his Honour and for the perpetual remembrance of what safety professionals should be like, Safety In Workplaces Australia (SIWA) will be establishing an SIWA Safety Award “George Robotham – Communicating Safety Award” and web page within their site.
To that end, they are asking for George’s friends and colleagues to provide input on what the criteria for this award should include, how it should be awarded and how it should be managed?
A fund will also be set up specifically for this award if anyone would like to contribute to it?
