This four-day course offers a special chance to learn about a ‘different’ approach to Safety Engineering.
Barry is suitably placed to teach this course under the following criteria.
Barry has been teaching English/History and Linguistics for 32 years and specialises in Ancient Text translation. He is an Associate Professor at Spud University. But, first some extra background to help give some authority to Barry’s ability to teach this 4 day course.
Barry has no expertise in engineering, science, maths, physics or chemistry and neither has any experience in the above. He does however, know how to spell the word ‘engineering’ and ‘professional’ and so is entitled to be a professional in engineering.
Barry has a great passion for running courses, enjoys receiving fees for his lectures but ceased any interest in Maths and Science at the age of 15 years. However, he is grateful for receiving the fee of $1000 a day from each registration.
Barry knows a bit about engineering having translated an engineering text from Greek into English in 1998. He once read about engineering in a magazine. But, Barry’s expertise extends way beyond this. He has used roads, bridges, tunnels, vehicles and objects that were designed by engineers and so, has experienced the outcomes of good engineering.
Barry is a warm and caring fellow who is 55 years of age and so in all that time has managed to stay alive so obviously has a great deal of common sense in safety.
In considering all these criteria, Barry has calculated that he is just as qualified to teach safety engineering as any engineer who offers to teaches culture, psychosocial health and ethics in safety.
