A Book to Help Get You Started on Cultural Improvement in Risk

I was talking to a COO yesterday about their attempts to improve their Organisational Culture.

They had been using a scattergun approach using LinkedIn Lectures, Simon Sinek and BBS, and not getting the results they wanted. In fact, when pushed to what results they wanted, it was explained as a ‘better Culture’.

Said COO could not explain what their Culture was currently, (it was expressed as ‘Not Bad’). I asked, what Methods they were using (none) or what the Culture should look like at the end of the program, (a program which didn’t exist).

This is one of the reasons I wrote my book.

So often I see People and Organisations struggling with Culture, because they have no Method.

Some years ago I myself was looking for ‘a better culture’ but couldn’t find a method. Then I discovered that the Social Psychology of Risk has a method, and as my book shows, has tools that can be learned and practiced that can help with real and lasting change in Organisational Culture. And It Works (https://safetyrisk.net/it-works-a-new-approach-to-risk-and-safety/).

Maybe you are searching as I was a number of years ago. I was just lucky that SPoR came along at the right time when I was asking so many questions. I was fortunate at the time that I attended a free 2 hour SPoR workshop, and the rest is history. Now I am helping others find that method they are searching for and, that culture they seek.

You can download my book SPoR and Semiotics, Methods to Tackle Risk here: https://safetyrisk.net/it-works-a-new-approach-to-risk-and-safety/ and read about real methods and positive practical ways of tackling risk that foster a culture of maturity and wisdom in risk.

If you have some questions, I am open for a chat. If you have a query, I am happy to offer you and your organisation a two hour workshop on SPoR and its methods. You may be like that COO searching to improve your Organisational Culture. My contact details are below:
